4/2/2023 0 Comments Perkins 4108 bellhousingUnfortunately to convert an industrial 4.108 (factory std) would cost almost as much as a new Beta or Nanni 38hp engine. Obviously IF a 4.108 or similar size engine was ever fitted it would only be a genset/powerpack unit, not the main engine!!! They did however, have a Rolls Royce Perkins CV12 as i worked on some when training at the factory. The photo isn't that detailed so could you send me some more? Plus as far as im aware the Challenger tank never had a 4.108 fitted. Useless its my eyes I don't believe this is a Perkins 4.108. There is very little he doesn't know about these engines. He used to work for Perkins and Duiffields. Never converted 1 but have had a few of these engines over the years and all I can say is seriously good engine both marinised and standardĪs I walk though the valley of death I will fear no evil for the broads are with me!!!! I have just acquired a nice engine from a challenger tank, has any one had experience of converting them for use in a boat. The Norfolk Broads Forum - Perkins 4108 engine
